About the Collection Oluce Astro
The designers Giopato & Coombes designed the Oluce Astro wall and ceiling lights in 2015. When working on this project, they concentrated on a cube serving as a leitmotiv, and for this purpose first analyzed a isometric projection.
The result of their work is a solid icosahedron with twelve rhombus of same surfaces. This unconventional shape turns the Astro wall and ceiling lamp into a true eye-catcher and, because of its three transparent, polished and resting matt surfaces, is strongly reminiscent of a precious diamond.
One part of the icosahedron of the Oluce Astro light fixture is made of white or black metal and the emitted light gains a prisma effect with the polished and matt glass. The technical properties were carefully studied by Astro, to achieve a complete harmony between light body and light.
Oluce Astro casts wonderful geometrical patterns onto the wall and produces a refined and exceptional impression, especially when forming rows in offset arrangements. The light is spread diffusely in the room and is outstandingly suited for the illumination of corridors and entry halls.
