Nimbus
Roxxane NEW Collection

The Roxxane LED light was designed in 2012 by Rupert Kopp for the Stuttgart-based Nimbus lighting label. The collection was technically reviewed in 2019. The Roxxane New offers lighter light with a very good colour rendering, an improved dimming technique and stylish new colours.

Nimbus Roxxane was awarded among others with the German Design Award.

The Roxxane lights have a reflector head of lacquered metal with integrated LEDs. There is a diffuser of polycarbonate under the reflector head. The slender and light metallic structures with double arm and with square base or clamp, match the head's shape: flat and rectilinear, but with harmoniously rounded edges and an elegant lacquer in matt or shiny colours.

The collection includes the two versions Roxxane Home and Roxxane Office. The first one was conceived for use in living spaces and has the typical square light head. It is available as a table and as a floor lamp. The Office version, on the contrary, is a table lamp with an enlarged light head for a wider illumination, ideal on desks and working surfaces in offices and workshops.

The light is turned on and off or dimmed with gesture control. The detector for this purpose is located on the light head's top. To turn the light on and off, an horizontal gesture 2 to 3 cm above the detector is sufficient. To dim the light the hand is kept above the light head until the desired light brightness is reached.

Roxxane has an external converter, which can be affixed with an extendable fixation strip, for example on table legs. A 1,5 meter long cable connects the light with the converter, while the converter is plugged in the wall socket by means of a power cable.

Various uses of the table lamps are possible with the adequate accessories. Next to the square table base and the space-saving clamp, there are also diverse adapters for a permanent mounting in tables, and a wall fixation which turns Roxxane New into a wall reading lamp.
