About the Collection Nemo Newton
The LED floor lamp Newton by Nemo was designed by Andrea Branzi. The prototype for this light fixture was created back in 2002, based on the legend of Isaac Newton's apple and is considered a tribute to the famous physicist who discovered the laws of gravity. The imitated apple serves as a reflector for the LED light, which emanates from the conical structure and penetrates through the flat diffuser disc.
The structure of the Newton floor lamp consists of chrome-plated or glossy black metal, the diffuser of white lacquered aluminum. The diffuser in the form of a flat disc rotates and illuminates the imitated red apple in a mixture of diffuse and direct light. Powerful, integrated LEDs reproduce the colour nuances of the apple as faithfully as possible.
17 years after the first prototype was launched, this special floor lamp went back into production. It is an artistic object which produces an atmospheric light that contributes to a stylish setting in private living spaces and makes a true design statement.
