About the Collection Moooi Heracleum III
The LED suspensions Heracleum were designed by Bertjan Pot for Moooi in 2010. He drew inspiration from nature - from hogweed, a plant named "Heracleum" in latin. The clear, delicate construction is made possible by Marcel Wanders' "Electrosandwich" technology that has its conductors directly embedded in the structure and does not require a cable. The collection comprises suspensions of diverse shapes and sizes, among them a modular suspension for individual creations. All models are available in four colours.
The complex, ramified metallic structure seems grown naturally and the small, flat polycarbonate diffusers are reminiscent of delicate flowers. Beside their appealing appearance, the Heracleum lights convince also with a warm white, dimmable light, suitable for illuminating seating groups and dining tables, as room illumination or as soft lighting accent.
Heracleum III is a technologically reviewed version, available since 2022. It has brighter LEDs with improved colour rendering and a new driver, compatible with the Wireless Wall Switch by Moooi.
