About the Collection Martinelli Luce Serpente

Serpente – designer classic of the 1960s

The table lamp Serpente by Martinelli Luce has a very recognisable shape. Instead of a standard vertical stem, Martinelli Serpente has a curved stem which is laterally connected with the base and bodly hugs the curve of the diffuser. Besides, the shade can be tilted to the side and, thus, taking the most dramatic and stunning positions. The name Serpente, which is translated as snake, says it all because the fascinating light fixture with organic curves is reminiscent of a snake.

The shade is made of white methacrylate, whereas the structure is made of metal. Serpente Gold provides an extra pinch of luxury and preciousness with the golden light rod. A Serpente floor lamp also enriches the timeless Martinelli Luce collection.

Serpente is a design from 1965 by Elio Martinelli, which quickly developed into a designer classic of the 1960s. The refined table lamp is a stylish eye-catcher on the desk or on the sideboard – especially when the shade it tilted.
