Marset
Soho Collection

Design by Joan Gaspar

The LED lights Soho by Marset feature an archetypical design with a modern interpretation. The collection comprises suspensions in several sizes, ceiling lamps and wall lamps for inside and outside and a floor lamp. They were designed by Joan Gaspar 2010.

Equipped with a broad, cylindrical shade and the rough, structured surfaces, the Soho lights are reminiscent of industrial light fixtures, as often used in old cafeterias and market halls. The shade is not made of metal as by tradition, but of rotation moulded polyethylene. It is closed below with a diffuser of opaline white methacrylate that radiates the light glare-free and evenly downwards. Black lacquered metallic structures complement the design and emphasize the lights' functional, industrial charm.

The integrated LEDs have a warm white light colour, creating a cozy, welcoming atmosphere in public rooms and in the open air.

The exterior lights have an IP44 protection class and are protected against humidity and dirt, yet must be used in sheltered areas only, for example in sheltered balconies, in loggias and unter eaves.

Thanks to the different sizes and colour hues, the ceiling lamps and suspensions can be combined to form fancy groups, suspended in rows or serve singly to match the surfaces to be illuminated. In this way, individual lighting concepts are possible in project lighting.
