About the Collection Marset Scantling
The light fixtures Scantling by Marset were designed by Mathias Hahn in 2010 and convince with a clear design and high-quality materials. The collection contains a wall lamp, a table lamp and two floor lamps, all available in black and white with details in oak wood.
The cylindrical light head is made of lacquered aluminium and is held by an arm of massive oak wood. A bevelled wooden element protrude over the light shade and forms the handle serving for adjusting the head. The wooden arm crosses the metallic light stem, creating a remarkable shape. The electrical cable runs mainly inside the wooden and metallic structure, at the junctions between the single elements, appears in plain view as a loose loop, reinforcing even more the light's nonchalant, nearly experimental character.
The switch located on the light head, or on the wall lamp's base, is easily reachable. Because the light is flexibly directable, the Scantling lights are very suitable as reading lights on the bedside table, next to the couch or at the head of the bed. The clear, cheerful design, the cozy and warm character of the wood and the comfortable handling make the Scantling reading lights the perfect choice for the living space.
