About the Collection Marset Ihana
The LED suspensions Ihana by Marset are delicate light sources in numerous versions, designed in 2021 by Johanna Laajisto. The collection comprises suspensions and ceiling lamps with two or three diffusers, available in several heights and equipped with diverse dimming techniques.
Very flattened, round diffusers of blown opaline glass spread a soft light. Each diffuser is located on its own vertical steel rod. An horizontal rod at middle height runs between them, so that a H profile with even proportions is created. Its filigreed and rigid shape stands in a charming contrast with the diffuser's soft shapes and with its warm, cozy light.
The lights' height is not variable. There is a choice of four different sizes, 80 cm, 100 cm, 150 cm and 200 cm that can be used, for example, as light source over dining tables or for general lighting of the whole room depending on the ceiling height. Beside the eight standard models with two or three diffusers, individual lengths with up to 14 diffusers, suitable for project specific lighting concepts are available on request.
The integrated LEDs have a warm white light colour with a very good colour rendering, so that a cozy light is created that features colour hues precisely and presents meals appetizingly on dining tables and kitchen counters.
All light fixtures are dimmable and optionally also available with Dim To Warm (DTW). With this function, the colour temperature is reduced from 3000K to reddish warm 1800K. Such a soft atmospherical light creates a relaxed atmosphere in the evening, perfectly suited for living and dining rooms, cozy lounges and cafes.
With Ihana, the designer Johanna Laajisto desired to create a timeless design that, despite modern clearness and technical perfection, also adapts to old buildings and classical interiors. She chose the Finnish word for "wonderful" as a name and deliberately used high-quality materials and striking contrasts between black and white, right angles and soft curves, between expansive dimension and filigreed charm.
