About the Collection Marset Djembé
The LED lights Djembé by Marset were designed by Joan Gaspar in 2017 and are available in an array of elegant shapes and colour versions. The collection comprises suspensions and ceiling lamps with different heights and diameters, so that there is always the right light fixture for every use. Like the Djembé drums the light fixtures are named after, the lights by Marset unfurl their potential when put together and can be arranged to form varied, individual lighting landscapes, clusters and rows.
The shades are manufactured of polyethylene with the centrifugal casting process. They are thin-walled and have an external side with rough natural stone texture that lends them the appeal of handmade containers and natural materials. Subdued, warm colours emphasize this impression and contrast with the shades' white satined internal side that guide the light especially efficiently downwards. There is a dark grey aluminium plate with LEDs on the backside in the shade's inner side. The light shines also in the shade, is reflected and guided as indirect, glare-free illumination in the room.
The collection with many variants is meant for use in public rooms and is suitable for the creation of individual, versatile lighting landscapes. The different colours and sizes can be combined harmoniously and enable numerous combination possibilities and accurately adapt to the room's layout and personal requirements in terms of illumination. Thanks to their beautiful shapes and surfaces the Djembé light fixtures possess enough character to come into one's own as a single light fixture or in small clusters.
With the aid of separately available accessories, the ceiling lamps can be installed in groups of two or three on a wall outlet.
The Djembé lights convince with their technology. The integrated LEDs spread pleasant, warm white light with a high colour rendering so that colour hues can be perceived accurately and naturally, and a cozy, welcoming illumination is created that is sought-after in living spaces, restaurants, public rooms and commercial spaces. The light fixtures are dimmable, on request they are also equipped with diverse dimming technologies and are suitable for the illumination in the project area.
Please, note that the shade's surface can feature thin polishing or scratch marks due to the manufacturing process.
