About the Collection Lumina Daphine
The Daphine light fixtures by Lumina are bestsellers in the Lumina range. Tommaso Cimini designed the Daphine Tavolo Classic table lamp in 1973, creating a style icon that is still an attractive desk lamp thanks to its rational aesthetics and outstanding functionality.
The Lumina Daphine Tavolo is made of metal with a cast iron base that houses a lamellar transformer. The special feature of the Daphine Tavolo is hidden behind the incredibly filigree articulated arm in which the power supply is hidden. Daphine does not need an additional cable - this is made possible by the low-voltage halogen technology. The lamp head, rotatable by 360 degrees that sits on the only 5 mm thick articulated arm is equipped with ventilation slots on the top for efficient cooling. The energy-saving 12V halogen lamp is supplied by the transformer in the base.
The slender arms are not only a prime example of modern lighting technology according to the 1970s, but also impress with their excellent flexibility. Daphine can even be moved into extreme positions, making it suitable for versatile lighting concepts and making it the ideal desk and workplace lamp.
Due to the resounding success of Daphine, it was supplemented by the Daphine wall lights and Daphine floor lights. The light fixture also got a little sister named Daphinette. The more modern Daphine models are further equipped with integrated LEDs. Daphine Cloe LED also has a flatter, rounded base.
The unanimous recognition made Daphine an outstanding model of functionality and elegance, which has rightly made it into the history of design.
