Luceplan
Zile Collection

The Zile collection by Luceplan was launched in 2021 at the Supersalone in Milan and we owe its design to the Archivolto design studio.

The lights' clear design is composed of a rectilinear steel structure and shades which are similar to singing bowls. This project's special characteristic is the focus on the topic sustainability on which the Luceplan company attaches an ongoing value. By reducing the ecological footprint during the manufacturing process and distribution of products, the light label pays homage to the demands for sustainable management.

Thus, biological synthetic material PLA is used for the shades of the table lamps, suspensions and floor lamps Zile. PLA is the abbreviation for polyactid, which designates polyactic acid, based on corn starch. It is also a sustainable material because it is based on durable materials which are also biodegradable and compostable. Besides PLA scores with a good carbon footprint which is by far lower than for conventional materials such as PET or PP. PLA is a coveted packing material and is used for the manufacturing of the Luceplan Zile light shades which makes Zile an environment friendly product. Nearly all the lights' components can be recycled and/or are recycled.

The shade of PLA is translucent, so that the light of the E27 LED lamps is distributed directly downwards. The models of the Luceplan Zile appeal with a reduced design in nearly all the furnishing styles and are available in stylish, matt colour hues.
