Luceplan
Illan Collection

Illan was first presented at the Euroluce fair in 2019 in Milan and was very soon nominated for the Design Awards 2019 by the Danish magazines Bod Bedre, Bolig Magasinet and Costume Living in the "Light of the Year" category. In 2021, the lamp also won the coveted Red Dot Award in the "Best of the Best" category. The designer Zsuzsana Horvath who lives in Denmark created Illan for the famous Italian label Luceplan.

The idea behind the Illan light results from experiments with laser cutting of diverse materials. Wenn paper foils and wood are cut in small strips, new material properties such as translucency, flexibility and a soft wavy shape come to light. It is also the case for Illan. The small suspended body of filigreed, laser-cut birch strips moves also when there is a slight airstream. It appeals with an unparalleled slender elegance and a sculptural aesthetics. The Luceplan wooden light fixture has a LED ribbon on its upper part and spreads a warm and shiny light which creates a comfortable atmosphere in the room.

The suspension cables are slender and discreet, lending Illan a floating character.
