Louis Poulsen
Flindt Collection

Design by Christian Flindt

The Flindt collection by Louis Poulsen was designed by the award-winning Danish designer and architect Christian Flindt. The idea for Flindt arose back in 2011 when, as part of an exhibition in Viborg, a bollard light was to be developed to illuminate the outdoor area there. Due to the positive response to the Flindt prototype, Louis Poulsen decided to add the Flindt bollard to its permanent collection. The optimized version was presented at Light & Building 2014 in Frankfurt. Louis Poulsen Flindt appeals with its sculptural design, which is striking because of its concave and convex shapes.

Over the years, a collection of versatile outdoor lights for private gardens, parks, courtyards or terraces has emerged, which impress with high quality and optimal lighting results. In addition to the original Flindt bollard light, there is now also the Flindt wall light and the Flindt Garden bollard, launched in 2021 - it is the little sister of the bollard light. Flindt Garden was improved for a flexible use and inspires with an even improved light quality. The Flindt Garden bollard light can be set up in groups of up to six lights and thus enables attractive light installations in the outdoor area.

The Flindt wall lamp is particularly eye-catching. Its expressive design with the oval shape pleases with a floating appearance and its reflected light, which forms a subtly luminous ring. To achieve these balanced proportions, designer Christian Flindt worked with a combination of software, 3D printing and metal casting.

The Flindt outdoor lights are characterized by their minimalist, well thought-out aesthetics as well as the pleasant, optimized light emission, which decisively emphasize the outdoor architecture.
