Materials such as the elegant lighting glass and high-quality metals form the basis of the Lodes lights.
The Italian lighting manufacturer now sells its lights in over 90 countries and can look back on a long and successful history. The company was founded in 1950 by Angelo Tosetto. His son Andrea Tosetto joined the family business at the tender age of 18 and soon took over the management. Under his leadership, the creative direction changed. While classic lights were brought onto the market in the years after the company was founded, Lodes under Andrea Tosetto paved the way to modern and innovative designer lights. Thanks to in-house production halls, traditional manufacturing processes such as Murano glassblowing, and the use of qualitative, regional materials, the brand has developed into a recognized, modern design label. Today Andrea Tosetto's son Massimiliano leads the company.
Many sought-after designers have worked for Lodes, including the design icon Karim Rashid, the architectural duo Pio and Tito Toso from Venice, Marta Sansoni, Dima Loginoff and many more. In april 2020, Lodes announced his collaboration with the industrial designer Luca Nichetto, who runs design studios in Venice and Stockholm.
