The less 'n' more Athene collection by Kai Steffens and Christian Dinow combines a unique technology with fresh, modern design in an appealing manner. Because of its incredible versatility, the lighting system by less 'n' more Athene is suitable for functional light design in high-class public areas and in private contexts.
The light head consists of a single aluminium piece. Thanks to its special appearance with grooved surface, the heat is dissipated and the light head is not very hot when used. The highlight are the convenient, quick adjustment possibilities. The light head of the Athene lights is focussable thanks to innovative glass lens optics and can be adapted between 25 to 100 degrees. The same light fixture provides, if desired, punctual, direct light or illuminates a large surface half-directly or diffusely. Thanks to the flexible arms, the lights can adapt in colour to a room. The robust flexible arms are available with an aluminium surface or coated with coloured textile.
All Athene light fixtures are equipped with integrated, warm white LEDs, which can be dimmed externally via a phase dimmer or have an integrated touch dimmer.
Less 'n' more Athene's design earned the Red Dot Award and was ranked second for the Light of the Year public prize.
Athene offers the right solution for each area - from the wall light for the corridor - and stairwell to the task-light and chandelier. In private areas, the flexible, seemingly filigreed lights create fresh and dynamic visual accents or provide the adequate discreet and unobtrusive light.
