Since the Red Dot award ceremony 2018, the Aledin table lamp can deservingly name itself best of the best, because the neat LED light received the highest distinction of the Red Dot competition, the "Product Design Award: Best of the Best". Aledin's design by Alberto Meda for the Italian furniture and light brand Kartell was acclaimed above all for its well thought out, innovative technology, paired with an expressive design. The transparent LED table lamp Aledin Tec is the first table lamp produced by Kartell with a function specially developed for offices, while the sister light Aledin Dec offers decorative properties for atmospherical lighting in living spaces. The difference between the two LED table lamps lies only in the light head's design.
The Kartell Aledin LED table lamps have a distinguished flat light head (Aledin Tec) or a conically shaped light head with a faceted decoration (Aledin Dec). The head is tiltable and the joints can be adjusted to flexibly modify the light's direction. Aledin Tec and Aledin Dec are ideally suited as desk lights in the office or in the private work space thanks to their flexibility. Made of aluminium stems, serving for conducting current, and of transparent or coloured polycarbonate, Aledin adapts to diverse colour schemes.
