Innermost Lights & Lamps

Popular Collections

The young design company Innermost catches the spirit of the times. It was founded by Steve Jones and Russel Cameron in London. Innermost offers a design inspired by Britain and London - a design which mixes traditions with a rebellious, punk spirit that is not devoid of humour. Suspension lamps shaped like bowler and top hats, such as Jeeves and Wooster, demonstrate that Innermost carries out this kind of humour ad absurdum, which is cherished by British citizens. The very surprising couch and seat Canvas, that have the appearance of a large painted canvas leaning against the wall, are another astounding example of unconventional design.

Innermost has good reasons to claim that it is "as British as London itself" because the variety of cultures one encounters in London is also a source of the company's inspiration. Since its foundation in 1999, Innermost has teamed up with designers coming from everywhere in the world to present a global vision of current design trends. In this way, the pendant lamps Stupa reproduce the shape of a stupa, like in Buddhist temples. These light fixtures, made of natural resin, won the Good Design Award in 2015. The beautiful table Origami has a metallic base, reminiscent of folded paper. It was awarded the Elle Decoration Award. The clear and coloured Matrioshka suspension lights resemble the famous Russian dolls. Innermost's worldwide success is demonstrated in numerous projects in hotels, restaurants, private homes, bars and offices all over the world.

Another reason for Innermost's success is its unconditional commitment to taste and the importance given to the quality of the materials used. For example, the table lamp Lateralis, which is composed of wood, metal and glass, is both a work of art and the source of a mysterious, pleasant light, and is a decorative object in homes with classical or modern furnishings. It was awarded the German Design Award with special mention for Excellent Product Design. Innermost's suspension lamp Cork reveals the transparency of thinly-cut cork. The metal composing the Glaze suspensions looks like precious china. Leather enhances the design of the wall lamp Cobra. The tasteful shades of the collections MNM and RD2SQ have twisted shapes, which makes it possible to update classical interiors and enliven contemporary ones.

Innermost also launched original pieces of furniture, like the rocking chair Hiho made of sheepskin, the seat Aviva at the interface between Asian and European style and the stool Poke. The colourful Poke stools are stackable in a completely innovative manner. It is even possible to form a kind of decorative installation with them. Spare stools are not concealed, but deliberately displayed. The suspension Latitude or the table lamp Parasol are versatile because they can easily adapt thanks to clever constructions and provide direct lighting when needed. Last but not least, the wall lamp YOY is mesmerising; its shade does not physically exist and appears only when the light has been turned on. Design or magic? That is the question!
