About the Collection Ingo Maurer Bibibibi
The table lamp Bibibibi by Ingo Maurer is reminiscent of a bird and was originally produced as a wedding present for friends of the designer. The creation proved popular enough to be produced as a limited edition, and finally to be adopted into the standard catalogue of Ingo Maurer.
Bibibibi has a light source held by red stork legs of synthetics and has a black metallic reflector. An antenna, decorated with feathers, adds the finishing touch to the design.
The light is directed downwards thanks to the adjustable shade, and reflected by the white porcelain plate that serves as a base and as a tray for small objects.
Bibibibi is a cheerful design statement that draws attention even when it is switched off. The light fixture was especially designed for use with matt incandescent bulbs. Alternatively, A60 Retrofit LED lamps are recommended.
