About the Collection Fritz Hansen Cross-Plex
Cross-Plex by Fritz Hansen is a table lamp with a Plexiglas base, available in two sizes.
It was designed in 1961 by the Danish designer Bodil Kjær, and is now available as a re-edition by Fritz Hansen.
The light fixture owes its name to its unconventional base: plates of clear Plexiglas form the cross shaped foot. This shape and its transparency make the base appear both sturdy and delicate. The large, brick-shaped shade rests solidly on the base and offers a shape and colour contrast. The shade is opaline and spreads light diffusely.
The cable is in the middle of the Plexiglas base and emphasizes the light's height.
Fritz Hansen Cross-Plex is perfectly suitable for sideboards and side tables in stylishly furnished apartments. It exudes a pleasant, diffuse light and sets a remarkable design statement.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: Wipe off the dust with a dry soft cloth. Remove the stains with a soft cloth dampened in lukewarm water and a mild detergent. The cloth must be wrung out. Do not use detergents containing abrasives or solvents.
