Foscarini
Rituals Collection

Design by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba

Foscarini Rituals are light fixtures with a fascinating glass shade, designed by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba for the Italian light manufacturer Foscarini. The collection includes table lamps and pendant lamps as well as ceiling lamps and wall lamps of various shapes and sizes.

The Rituals diffuser is made of blown glass, which is carefully sanded to achieve a satin finish. It has horizontal grooves that look slightly irregular like a natural grain. The white, structured and satin-like glass not only provides a particularly soft, diffuse light, but also has the magically light and delicate look of a paper lantern. With its harmoniously rounded shapes, Rituals refers to traditional Asian paper lanterns and becomes a magical eye-catcher.

The name "Rituals" evokes old traditions, archetypal conceptions of beauty and security. There is something mystical about the Rituals light body, it seems to float as light as a feather and transforms every room with its unique magic.

The Rituals pendant lights by Foscarini can be wonderfully arranged into light clusters. The slightly organic, different silhouettes form a harmonious but dynamic unit. Rituals is also convincing as a single lamp. Whether as a pendant or as a ceiling lamp, it provides a diffuse ambient light with an almost magical touch.

The Rituals table lamps have an elegant shade which balances on a low tripod and thus enrich the design with another element endowed with an ancient charm. They are fantastic decorative objects on side tables and sideboards.
