Foscarini Plena: the LED suspension for glare-free illumination
The suspension Plena is a jewel with a modern and minimalist aesthetic and a striking lighting effect. Embedded LED lamps with a warm white temperature colour and an outstanding colour rendering project their light against a shade, which reflects the light downwards and upwards toward the ceiling. The glare-free light is ideal for the illumination of dinning tables.
Plena's shape is simple, elegant and emotional. The round and white PVC reflector is very large, yet because of its smooth curves and thinness, it seems light and space-saving. The slender, convex arm, made of white lacquered aluminium located in the light's lower part seems to form a single part with the light fixture as if it would be a unique organic shape.
The light is discreetly suspended by two cables and it seems that the light fixture floats in the airs. The light shines magically because the LED lamps are concealed in the filigreed light and are therefore not visible. Foscarini Plena has something unreal and fascinating, and is eye-catching despite its reduced design and white colour.
