About the Collection Foscarini Light Bulb
Black Light and White Light are two of the five objects composing the Light Bulb Series which are produced in limited quantity by Foscarini. The two small table lamps are two new versions inspired by classic incandescent lamps designed by James Wines. He translates the incandescent lamp's archetypal shape in paradoxical design objects.
The Black Light does not correspond to what is being expected of an incandescent lamp because the socket spreads the light, while the bulb is lacquered in black. In contrast, White Light is an entirely white unity which spreads a diffuse light.
The light body is made of blown glass, the white base is made of aluminium.
