About the Collection Foscarini Havana
Jozeph Forakis designed the Havana lights for the Italian top label Foscarini in 1993. Initially the collection consisted of the Havana Terra and the Havana Sospensione / Parete, in 2005 Foscarini presented the Havana outdoor lights.
Havana by Foscarini is named after the famous Havana cigar that inspired the shape of its diffuser. The elongated shape is gently arched and tapers at both ends. It consists of four elements made of injection-moulded polyethylene, which are held together by several decorative metal rings.
The original design of the Havana lights is rounded off by the harmonious lighting effect: the light emitted by the E27 lamp passes through the shade and illuminates the surroundings evenly.
Havana Terra Outdoor is ideally suited as a light source in wide outdoor areas, which it enriches with its presence. It fits harmoniously in gardens or on terraces, and is also perfect for the illumination of paths. Placed in a group or in a row, Havana Terra Outdoor is especially impressive.
The expressive light fixture is part of the permanent design exhibition in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and is a popular lighting object with a timeless yet distinctive charm, just like yesterday.
