The Gioia wall lamps conceived by Andrea Anastasio for the Italian top manufacturer Foscarini were first introduced at the Euroluce fair in 2019 and are since then part of the Foscarini collection.
The light fixture appeals with a precious charm, similar to a jewel. Both central elements of Gioia - a smaller, precious plate of Carrara Gioia marble with light grey veins and a transparent plate of Perspex located behind - are freely positioned and enable associations with the rhythmical swinging of a pendant or an earring. The transparency of the PMMA plate stands in contrast to the marble plate's opacity. The marble plate is connected via an elegant hook of polished brass to the transparent plate. The transparent plate is dyed in a discreet colour and the brass details lend additional elegance to the whole appearance.
The LED chip is protected by a translucent polycarbonate capsule, affixed to a mounting of lacquered aluminium. Foscarini Gioia produces a diffuse and reflected light that decisively upgrades naked walls. The light is dimmable and can be adjusted especially atmospherically.
Gioia is connected to the electrical network via a grey cable with a black switch and plug. Though plug and cable can be removed to connect the light fixture to a direct wall outlet.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: Whether alcohol nor solvents should be used for cleaning, but exclusively soft cloths. It is possible to moist the cloth with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product.
