About the Collection Foscarini Gem
The architects Ludovica and Roberto Palomba were already responsible for the iconic Gregg lights and presented Gem in 2017. Gem is a collection characterized by spherical lampshades with an impressive relief - they look like the eponymous gem ("gem") .
The striking diffuser by Gem is handcrafted in Italy, the shade is hand-blown, matted and acid-etched, which results in a unique frosted appearance. In addition, the Gem lampshade is decorated with a relief pattern, which gives Gem its unique character and impacts on the lighting effect. The pattern filters the light and creates gentle light-shadow effects.
The collection consists of the extremely decorative Gem table lamp - its spherical shade sits majestically on a golden base - and the Gem pendant lamp, which is also available with integrated LEDs. In 2019, Foscarini introduced further Gem lamps, including the Gem floor lamp with an elegant lamp stem and base made of refined metal.
In any case, Gem is a special piece of jewelry characterized by the remarkable processing of the traditional material glass. It sets decisive decorative lighting accents with its timeless and at the same time extremely noble appearance in high-class interiors.
Cleaning instructions: Do not use alcohol or other solvents. Use only a soft cloth to clean the lamp, dampened with water and soap or mild cleanser if needed for resistant dirt.
