About the Collection Foscarini Binic
The French designer Ioanna Vautrin created with Binic for Foscarini a small yet phenomenal table lamp with contemporary retro-design. Binic was inspired by the world of nautism: it is named after a lighthouse in Brittany, France, and the inclined lamp head with the round diffuser might be reminiscent of a lighthouse light. However, the shape of Binic was inspired by the vents of old steam liners. The lamp's retro-chic allure is underlined by the choice of colours. The polished surface of the polycarbonate lamp head contrasts with the matt lacquered conical aluminium base. Meanwhile, the opal white diffuser directs the light evenly on the table or reading surface.
