About the Collection Foscarini Bahia
The Bahia lights by Foscarini represent the valued Italian elegance. They have an asymmetrical shape with a slightly futuristic appeal. Depending on the model's version of the Foscarini Bahia Parete, the construction is characterized by two or three plate-like reflectors of diverse sizes that are arranged on top of each others. A mysterious light passes through the plates and emphasizes Bahia's organic shape. The indirect light sets atmospheric accents in the room and contributes to a cozy atmosphere.
The collection comprises Bahia with a width of 76 cm and Bahia Mini with a width of 53 cm, each with permanently installed LEDs. Bahia MyLight, controlled via Bluetooth and integrated Casambi device, was added lastly. Because of the white colour, Bahia's discreet presence is emphasized and has a sober and elegant appearance. The asymmetrical, concentrated circles fascinatingly decorate naked walls. Even when the light is off, Bahia is an enrichment for entry halls and corridors or a wall ornament in every room.
Following an isolated island, lost in the wide ocean, Paolo Lucidi & Luca Pevere created this sculptural master work. The overlapping asymmetrical plates create the view that both artists saw when flying over the archipelago: the central vegetation, white sand beach and the outer beach segment. The light fixtures arouses longings that explain the name of this collection: "Bahia" is the Spanish word for "bay".
The Bahia lights are made of injection moulded polycarbonate. This synthetic material is light and yet very robust, durable and easy to clean. The large plate serves as a wall fixation, while both central plates conceal the illuminating technique.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: Whether alcohol nor solvents should be used for cleaning, but exclusively soft cloths. It is possible to moist the cloth with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product.
