About the Collection FontanaArte Tropico
In their "Form of Light" project, the designers Gabriele and Oscar Buratti are devoting themselves to special shapes made of glass and metal and experimenting with their properties in relation to light. The project started in 2017 with the Equatore lights and was expanded in 2020 with the Meridiano and Tropico lights.
The Tropico collection consists of table and wall lights - all are characterized by a domed diffuser made of matt opal glass, which distributes the light evenly and gently. What is striking, is the metallic button at the centre of the diffuser. It is optionally gold or black nickel-plated on the Tropico wall lamp. With the Tropico table lamp, the light also creates surprising effects and soft shadows for an atmospheric ambience. A robust cylindrical base made of white, light grey or black marble makes the table lamp particularly elegant and luxurious. The table lamp is available in two different sizes.
Tropico by FontanaArte is equipped with integrated LEDs, whereby the light intensity can be varied. The Tropico Grande table lamp with an impressive size of just under 40 cm is a striking first-class design object that appeals on side tables or wide window sills, while the smaller Tropico Media table lamp also adorns bedside tables. The Tropico wall lamp is available with three different diameters and is particularly attractive when arranged in a group.
