About the Collection Flos Wan
Flos Wan is a minimalist lamp classic and is one of the bestsellers of the traditional Italian brand Flos. The lamp was designed in 2006 by Johanna Grawunder. Wan convinces with clarity, functionality and a subtle aesthetic sense.
The name "Wan" means "bowl" in Japanese, an allusion to the round shape of the Wan lamps, which is indeed reminiscent of a classic Japanese tea bowl. The straightforward, elementary shape gives an impression of calm and clarity, and fits perfectly into many interiors and architectural environments. The light is directed downwards and emitted glare-free thanks to the diffuser at the bottom.
The lamp body is made of aluminum with a glossy black or white finish. The shade is closed off with a diffuser made of white, frosted safety glass. A decorative fixation ring frames and holds the glass diffuser while also setting an additional accent. A green and a black ring are included in the delivery and can be switched out as desired. Perfecting the design is the little detail of a small round button sporting the Flos logo, located in the middle of the diffuser.
Thanks to the downward-directed light and the clear, minimalist design, the Wan pendant lights are perfect for use in modern kitchens, where they illuminate sideboards, counters and dining tables. The wall or ceiling lights, and especially the recessed lamps, make it easy to create uniform lighting concepts with a modern, unobtrusive character. Narrow and long corridors and rooms with unconventional layouts are ideally illuminated with rows and groups of Wan lights.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: The light fixture should be cleaned with soft cloths only.
It is possible to moist them with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product. Do not use alcohol or solvents!
