About the Collection Flos Spun Light
The elegant Spun Light table and floor lamps by Flos were designed by Sebastian Wrong in 2003 and appeal with a trumpet-like light base in the style of the seventies. Today, they are an inherent part of the long-established designer light manufacture's portfolio.
The base seems to fluidly merge with the cylindrical light shade, and it is a fact that the body of the Spun Light is made of a single piece of aluminium. The shiny, entirely smooth surface lacquered in black or white is striking. The shade's inner side is always white on the contrary. The table lamps have an upper shade aperture equipped with a cover of sand-blasted glass. The light emitted by the E27 lamp passes through downwards and upwards and creates a soft area illumination.
The Spun Light collection consists of table lamps in two sizes and a floor lamp. Because of the shiny surface, they appear elegant and gracious, while their shape reflects the cool chic of the seventies. Spun Light adapts to many surroundings and always scores with its extravagant appeal. Its outstanding design was prized with the Red Dot Award. the Spun Light is delivered with a dimmer integrated in the cable, enabling to adjust the light intensity and thus able to create pleasant atmospheres.
