About the Collection Flos Gustave
The Gustave rechargeable table lamp was presented together with the Flos automn novelties 2022. The design is signed by Vincent van Duysen and appeals with an innovative lighting technology. Besides, it is the first portable Flos light, manufactured according to the environment-friendly, sustainable principle.
The Gustave rechargeable table lamp has a no-frills appearance and was conceived to adapt to every environment. For this purpose, Flos offers a choice of various surface colours. A flat-curved, circular diffuser is located on the straight stem which connects to the round, flat base. Gustave is made of cast aluminium and the diffuser is also made of methacrylate.
Thanks to the exclusive lens system patented by Flos, Gustave offers an asymmetrical light emission of 360 degrees, enabling to illuminate a large surface in a radius of up to one meter. On tables seating two to four, the Gustave rechargeable table lamp also produces enough light.
The batteries work between six to 18 hours, depending on the light intensity. Afterwards, it is possible to reload the light fixture. When the loading status is under 20%, a red LED light shines. When the loading status is under 10%, the light fixture is automatically dimmed down to a light intensity of 25%. When the battery is empty, Gustave is switched off automatically. The entire loading time is of approximately five to six hours. The light intensity can be adjusted at three levels (25%, 50% and 100%) via a button on the light head.
The long life-span of the Gustave rechargeable table lamp by Flos is also expressed by the batteries' exchangeability. When their life-span has expired, they can be exchanged or reloaded via a USB-C cable. Please, note that only the USB-C cable is comprised in the scope of delivery, but it is not the case for the power adapter. A power adapter can be requested separately.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: The light fixture should be cleaned with soft cloths only.
It is possible to moist them with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product. Do not use alcohol or solvents!
