Mario Bellini designed the Chiara floor lamp together with Sergio Gandini in 1969. The floor lamp attracted attention with its shiny stainless steel cover. In 2020, 50 years after its first appearance, the traditional Italian company Flos re-introduced the design icon to its range and added the Chiara table lamp with several surface finishes.
The eye-catching and elegant Flos Chiara consists of a reflector body made of aluminum or stainless steel, which is laser cut and then bent. The body is closed with stainless steel rivets that are connected to the metallic sheet. Finally, the body is coated with an opaque, white plastic film. A black or coloured rubber seal made of TPU is attached to the entire profile of the extraordinary lamp, which not only protects against sharp edges, but also creates an attractive visual contrast, which is an essential design feature of Chiara. The inner base made of extruded aluminum ensures the light body's necessary stability and also carries the E14 (Chiara Table) or E27 (Chiara Floor) lamp holder. The curved shade reflects the light from the lamp and provides soft, atmospheric lighting.
Chiara is a timeless design icon and a true statement in elegant interiors.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: When cleaning the light fixture, only soft cloths must be used. It is also possible to moist them with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product. Please, do not use alcohol or solvents!
