About the Collection Flos Captain Flint
The minimalistic Captain Flint LED floor lamps follow the design by the designer Michael Anastassiades from the year 2015. His intent was to develop a light fixture that can provide a pleasantly diffuse room light and also serves as a wonderful reading light. The balance between the elements is at the centre of the design. The result unites a conical light head turning on its own axis in one direction up to 270 degrees and a clear, geometrical structure. The formal language of the Flos Captain Flint collection is reminiscent of Anastassiades' successful designs IC Light and String since it adapts and perfects the best of them.
The Flos Captain Flint design lights consist of a rotatable shade and a filigreed structure of metal in black or brushed brass. The diffuser is made of opaline PC. The material the indoor floor lamp's base is made of is a precious highlight: white Carrara marble or black Marquinia marble - an elegant and solid material. The LED floor lamp Flos Captain Flint is equipped with a switch footdimmer, via which the light fixture can be switched and dimmed 0-100%. Very convenient: the LED light is delivered with exchangeable plug-in mains plug (EU US GB SA).
Captain Flint by Flos is a LED floor lamp for demanding design afficionados who appreciate the unique charm of a minimalistic and smart design. Especially in modern living spaces, Captain Flint enriches a sophisticated setting and complements it - all the same whether as an accent light or as a reading light.
In 2019, Flos launched the Captain Flint floor lamps' outdoor/indoor version that is visually nearly the same as the floor lamp for inside. Instead of a marble base, it has a robust stone base. Depending on the version, it is a black or grey lava stone or a travertino Imperiale natural stone. With the protection index IP65, the Flos outdoor light is optimally equipped against every weather condition. In 2020, the Captain Flint Outdoor wall lamp became an additional member of the collection.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: When cleaning the light fixture, only soft cloths must be used. It is also possible to moist them with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product. Please do not use alcohol or solvents!
