Flos
2097 Collection

Design by Gino Sarfatti

The chandelier 2097 by Flos was designed in 1958 by Gino Sarfatti. Since the beginning, the 2097 chandelier has been included in the Flos portfolio and is now a designer classic of Modernism.

Today, the 2097 light fixtures are available in four sizes with 18, 30, 50 or 75 light sources and each available in a choice of several surface versions like brass, chrom or black.

The structure of the Flos 2097 chandeliers consists of a vertical steel stem with several slender, horizontal arms of brass, holding each a lamp at their end. The electrical cables, running from a central stem to the sockets and creating a remarkable element of the chandelier's design, lend the design additional complexity and a nonchalant touch. The suspensions' ceiling fixation and ceiling rose are made of steel.

The suspensions Flos 2097 can be equipped with diverse E14 lamps with bulbs creating a visible and decisive detail. Depending if a clear or a matt white light bulb is used, the light's appearance and its lighting effect are modified. With clear lamps, the light is sparkling and shiny, with matt lamps the light is subdued and soft.

Cleaning instructions of the manufacturer: When cleaning the light fixture, only soft cloths must be used. It is possible to moist them with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product. Whether alcohol nor solvents should be used!
