About the Collection Established & Sons Filigrana
The Filigrana suspensions are a design by Sebastian Wrong for the British label Established & Sons which associate modern aesthetics and traditional Italian glass blowing art in a fantastic manner.
The glass diffuser is mouth-blown and gets its characteristical stripes through the so-called filigrana or filigree glass technique. The external surface is then acid-etched to get a matt finish. The result is a soft, refined appearance and a soft, pleasant illumination.
Filigrana is available with four different shapes and in a choice of three colours, suitable for diverse living styles and uses. The Filigrana Beehive, open below, which provides downwards directed light and additionally diffuse light features fancy curves. The Filigrana Cylinder and Ellipse versions are completely closed, round and slightly oval.
The white version decorated with white stripes create a subtle impresion, while the red and white version sets a cheerful, nearly childish accent. The version in black and white features strong contrasts.
