Tommaso Cimini

Tommaso Cimini

The Italian spent many years in Milan, the capital of design, where he accomplished his studies and founded his Lumina light company in 1973. He came to this idea in the 1970s, at a time when he was working on diverse projects as a designer.

Soon after its foundation, Lumina launched the Daphine table lamp which was first presented at the Milan Furniture Fair in 1974 and turned to be an instant export hit worldwide. Until today the Daphine collection has been one of the most popular in Lumina's portfolio. The Lumina light collection has been continuously extended since 1975, when Tommaso Cimini worked in collaboration with renowned designers. The Italian has worked with many great designers, such as Walter Monici, Riccardo Blumer, Yaacov Kaufman, Emanuele Ricci and the Studio DDL and step by step has enlarged its company's high-quality portfolio.
