Paolo Lucidi, born in 1974, and Luca Pevere, born in 1977, both studied at the renowned Polytechnic University of Milan and started their first projects together as industry designers in 2003. In 2006, the friends founded their own design studio LucidiPevere , in Udine, in north Italy, where it is still located.
Innovative light and furniture designs combining uncommon techniques and materials characterizes their work. LucidiPevere has collaborated with numerous brands, such as Zanotta, Normann Copenhagen, DeCastelli and Foscarini. Some of their creations are already exhibited in various museums and have been awarded renowned prizes such as the Designpreis Deutschland, the Red Dot Design Award, the Good Design Award and even the Compasso d'Oro Honourable mention as well as the Best of the Year Award.
The Aplomb collection is a famous series by Lucidi & Pevere for the well-known manufacturer, Foscarini. It is a collection of suspensions made of concrete with archetypical, pared-down, timelessly elegant diffusers. It has the potential to become a designer classic. Arumi and Bahia are other light series designed by Lucidi & Pevere for Foscarini.
