Ionna Vautrin

Ionna Vautrin, born in 1979 in France, is one of the most successful designers of her generation, and leads her own design studio in Paris.

The French attended the private design school, l'Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique, and after her studies, worked successfully for the designer George J. Sowden and also Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. After various collaborations with companies in whole Europe and being awarded the "Grand Prix de la Création" in Paris, Ionna Vautrin opened her own studio in Paris.

Collaborations with renowned labels followed. For Foscarini, she designed the Binic table lamp for which she became recognition at the Compasso d'Oro 2014 with an honorable mention and was awarded the Wallpaper Design Award in 2011.

Ionna Vautrin creates everyday objects simply and understandably with an intuitive functionality and at the same time adds a surprise effect to each of her objects. She creates a remarkable balance between formal rigour and colourful opulence that perfectly complement themselves in her objects.
