Andrea Tosetto

Andrea Tosetto

Andrea Tosetto was born in Mestre, Italy, in 1959 and went to the Art School and to the Academy of Arts in Venice. Soon after he joined the family company Studio Italia Design at the age of 18, Andrea Tosetto took over as its leader. This was followed by a paradigm shift at Studio Italia Design: Since its foundation in the 1950s, the company had been specialized in light fixtures in classic styles, but now the lighting objects became more innovative and modern. Under his leadership, Studio Italia Design became a quality company for exclusive design lights with its own production sites, traditional production processes and the use of high-quality materials from the Venetian region.

Andrea Tosetto designed lights with great regional and international success. The Nautilus collection is one of his most famous works. The wall, ceiling lamps and pendant lights appeal with flexible lighting and a puristic design. Each of them features the characteristic round, moveable light heads which project focussed light. The Kelly series, which features a characteristic laser-cut structure, has an impressive appearance, while the Valentina lights' conical shades with crystal-like structure exude a true Italian elegance.

Andrea Tosetto led Studio Italia Design towards the next generation. Since 2013, his son Massimiliano Tosetto has also been working for the family business.
