Alfredo Häberli

Alfredo Häberli is a successful, award-winning designer who has already worked in various sectors for renowned companies, like BMW, Luceplan, Kvadrat and Zanotta. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1964, but moved to Switzerland with his parents as a child, where he studied industrial design and started his designer career.

Alfredo Häberli connects tradition with innovation and joy with energy in his designs, which are inspired by daily life and memories of his youth in Argentina. His works include furniture and utensils like glasses, carafes and bowls. Alfredo Häberli also develops lights for Luceplan, such as the futuristic outdoor lights of the Sky collection and the sculptural Carrara floor lamp.

Thanks to their impressive design and innovative technology, Alfredo Häberli's lights Sky won the European design competition Lights of the Future in 2007. In 2009, Häberli was elected "designer of the year 2009" by the magazine Architektur & Wohnen and had an exhibition at the international furniture fair imm cologne. The Swiss Federal Office for Culture awarded Häberli the famous Swiss Grand Prix Design in 2014.
