Adriano Rachele

Adriano Rachele

Adriano Rachele was born in 1984 and completed his studies in product design in 2007. Afterwards, he began working at the research & development department of the Slamp lighting brand, where he is still successful today and for which he designed several very popular light fixtures.

Adriano Rachele's creations are worth being considered "unique" because they do not seem to be mass-produced thanks to their incredibly poetic charm and singularity. Adriano Rachele wishes to create objects with a poetical and emotional effect on the viewer. His lights feature smooth, curvy shapes which bring the handicraft to the fore and stay true to the extraordinary Slamp style.

With Slamp Veli, Adriano Rachele earned recognition as a young talent in the Italian design world in 2010. Veli is a large collection compiling wall lamps, ceiling lamps, suspensions and table lamps, which consist of white or colourful shades of crinkled Opalflex. They provide their surroundings with a uniquely decorative note. The collection was later extended with the Veli Gold/Silver/Copper version. Adriano Rachele was awarded the Red Dot Design Award for this collection. Besides, the young designer developed the Cactus, Hanami, Clizia, Etoile Slamp lights and the Mida wall and ceiling lamp.
