About the Collection Catellani & Smith Sfera
The wall lamp Sfera is a homage to the Dutch artist MC Escher. The shiny front of the metallic ball reflects the deformed image of the viewer, and thus imitates Escher's iconic selfportrait.
The spherical light fixture has only a small contact surface on the wall and seems to float in front of it. The light of the integrated LED escapes through an aperture on top, on the ball's back. A broad lighting cone illuminates the wall and provides an indirect, dimmable lighting.
