The LED lights light stick by Catellani & Smith utilize as body only a slender copper rod with integrated LEDs. The designer Enzo Catellani created timeless objects which are absolutely reduced to the essential, abandoned to the light in the room and discreetly vanishing in the background.
The collection consists of wall and ceiling lamps with diverse lengths, a floor lamp, a table lamp and a wall lamp.
The Light Stick lights' filigreed design was made first possible by the use of LEDs. The light diodes are directly integrated in the slender copper stem, resting vertically on a a base or, depending on the model, held vertically or horizontally in front of the wall. The stem is nickel-plated or comes in satined gold.
The light is directed in one direction and provides an indirect lighting. The light fixtures themselves are nearly invisible, while the light is the highlight.
