The LED suspensions, wall lamps and ceiling lamps Roda by Joana Bover have been included in the Spanish manufacturer's portfolio since 2022. What is characteristical for the collection are large, ring-shaped shades and a warm, even light distribution.
Roda's structure is made of black lacquered aluminium and steel. The shade is made of white or cream-coloured, translucent ribbon fabric. The aluminium ring on the inside contains the permanently fixed LEDs that direct their light towards the shade of ribbon fabric. The translucent ribbon ensures a pleasant warm, filtered light that produces a cozy atmosphere in the room. The version with a shade of white fabric ribbon seems to create a somewhat brighter light, while it appears warmer with the version covered with cream-coloured ribbon fabric.
Bover Roda offers several models for diverse room conditions. It is available as a vertical or as an horizontal suspension and also as a wall or ceiling lamp, each in several sizes, with a ring diameter ranging from 120 cm to 200 cm. Two distance pipes enabling to place several interlinked Roda lights next to each other are comprised in the delivery of the wall and ceiling lamps.
All the lights in the Bover Roda collection can be adjusted in light intensity via a 1-10V interface and have a black ceiling rose.
Despite their large size, the Bover lights seem to be very lightweight. Their application range is versatile. They adapt to large living areas or entry areas as well as to hotel lobbies, bars or restaurants.
