The renowned Spanish designer Christophe Mathieu conceived the Folie suspensions for the light label Bover. With this collection, Bover adds large-sized suspensions for large rooms and/or rooms with high ceilings to its portfolio. Folie comprises three models which can be combined together or installed singly and at the same time suffuse charm.
The shades of each model which are broader downwards are made of translucent ribbon. The ribbon filters the light and generates a soft ambient light. Additionally the light is distributed glare-free downwards through a diffuser of polycarbonate and through the shade's aperture, and illuminates the surface below. A thin, black metallic ring creates a visually beautiful contrast to the ribbon.
Because of their maximal height of barely three meters (Folie S/70 and S/70.2), the Folie suspensions are striking eyecatchers over sitting areas in foyers, in shops, restaurants and hotel lobbies - nearly everywehre, where the rooms are under high ceilings. The somewhat smaller Folie S/60 suspension adapts wonderfully over dining tables in private homes.
