Domita Collection

The Domita collection - composed of suspensions and a table lamp - is the fruit of the collaboration between Benedetta Tagliabue and Joana Bover and was presented for the first timme in 2019. They can be understood as extentions of the Dome suspension, conceived by Benedetta Tagliabue in 2015 for Bover. The Domita lights are similar to the Dome in terms of material and concept, yet differ in shape and size. Besides Domita offers various models for different projects requirements.

Domita's structure consists of iron and aluminium, the small dome-shaped shades are made of many thin wood fragments put together by hand. The light source emitting the light downwards is inside the wooden shade. The Domita table lamp has a dome shade placed directly on the table surface and generates a wonderful shadow pattern. The wooden handle is reminiscent of a drilling machine and is a homage to all the tools used for the production. With a height of 36 cm, the table lamp adapts on shelves, side tables and side boards and spreads a pleasant ambient light.

The Domita suspension is available in a choice of models: a single suspension or multiple suspensions with three to 19 shades, suspended as to cascade down from the ceiling rose or arranged at will around the ceiling rose with the aid of the metallic hooks comprised in the delivery. Large living spaces or lounge areas can be masterfully illuminated with a pleasant light. The light cascades with three or four shades and the single suspension are well-suited in restaurants and in private living spaces over dining tables.

All Domita lights are equipped with lamp sockets for GU5,3 lamps. To change the lamp, it is possible to simply push the structure upwards.
