The light collection Ireland by B.Lux was created in 2016 in collaboration with the Madrid-based Studio Stone Designs, and comprises two decorative suspensions which surprise with a sophisticated functionality. Ireland was introduced in March 2016 at the Light+Building in Frankfurt.
Ireland offered in two sizes, has a shade composed of three parts, made of handcrafted ceramics. Each part of the shade has another earth colour and is textured and matt outside and white satined inside. With B.Lux Ireland, the concept of the classical light shade is skilfully desconstructed, since the single shade parts are individually height-adjustable. Ireland can form a classical suspension, when each of its composing parts are on the same level, or a more extravagant object with a sculptural touch which adapts to each ambience thanks to the natural colour hues.
The ceramic shade is opaque and the light emitted by the three E27 lamps is evenly and directly distributed downwards.
