About the Collection Axolight Bell
The Bell light collection by Manuel Vivian for the Italian label Axolight consists of suspensions and ceiling lamps, available in many vivid colours and simple coloured hues and in various sizes.
What is so special about the Bell lights is their fabric shade, made of very smooth, fire-retardant and sound-absorbing pongee ribbon. These thin fabric strips are stretched around the metallic structure and lend Bell a distinctive character. There is a choice of colours, matching diverse colour schemes in a room.
Besides, the Axolight Bell lights contribute to an optimized room acoustics which makes sense especially at the workplace, in hotel rooms, in theaters or in restaurants. Unlike materials like glass, concrete and steel, characterized by smooth surfaces which produce an echo and noise pollution, interior objects of textile reduce the noise pollution. The fabric shades of the Axolight Bell light collection absorb the sound and reduce noise, depending on the model combination up to 59,7%, which improves the acoustic comfort and positively impacts on well-being. The more Bell lights are installed in the room, the better noise's proportional resonance time is reduced.
Some Bell SP suspensions are available with E27 sockets or also with integrated LEDs. The light passes diffusely through the fabric shade and directly downwards. The larger versions Bell 090, Bell 118 and Bell 180 are equipped with an integrated diffuser providing a generous uplight and downlight. Because of their impressive appearance, they are especially interessant for commercial contexts, while the smaller Bell 045 and Bell 060 suspensions are an appealing lighting solution for the private space, especially over dining tables.
The Bell ceiling lamps are always equipped with a diffuser and are suitable for general lighting in corridors or in the living space.
