About the Collection Artemide Yanzi
The Yanzi LED lights by Artemide have the appearance of a small bird, characterized by a minimalistic, stylized shape. The design by Neri & Hu appeals with a harmonious interaction of refined materials and elegant shapes. The collection includes a table lamp, a floor lamp and three suspensions with simple or multiple diffuser.
The name "Yanzi" is Chinese and means "swallow". It refers to the design's central element combining a spherical glass diffuser and a brass metallic base into a shape which resembles a small bird. The diffuser is the head, the base which is the body features a feathered tail and feet.
While the table lamp has this object on a small, stabilizing rod, the floor lamp and suspensions have several birds on black, lacquered structures, featuring eye-catching straight lines, right angles and bent bows. The simple suspension complements the design with a transparent glass bell, resembling a bird cage.
Even the larger models in the collection appear charming and light, and enhance a clear, well-thought-out construction with constrasting materials and colours, black and brass coloured metal and white and transparent glass.
Yanzi is an expressive design object with a humoristic note which sets a refined, classy accent in public spaces, and in living rooms and bedrooms. The light, warm white LED light is spread diffusely in the room and can be dimmed down to the lowest intensity if needed, offering the right lighting ambience.
