About the Collection Artemide Tolomeo Basculante

The light fixtures Tolomeo Basculante by Artemide consist of an adjustable structure and a translucent shade which hangs vertically downwards in any position. The collection includes table lamps, floor lamps, wall lamps and a suspension with double arm. The shade is made of parchment paper or of silk satin. The structure is always made of aluminium.

Thanks to the mixture of direct and diffuse light, an especially cozy illumination is created, which is perfectly suitable as reading light, but also as a table illumination, as pleasant light source in the living room or at the head of the bed. The clear design with intuitive function and high-quality materials adapt to any modern interior. The typical Tolomeo structure with aluminium arms and spring-loaded system enables to flexibly direct the light fixture. The shade is not adjustable, but swings and hangs loosely on the light arm, so that it is suspended vertically in every position.
